RINGRINX Privacy Policy

Shenzhen Chujiao Technology Co., Ltd. (registered address: Room 102, Building A, Lidao Mingyuan, No. 4220 Xili Lake Road, Xili Subdistrict, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China; “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the RINGRINX smart-ring companion app (the “App”). This policy explains how the App handles information for its wellness and activity-reference features.

The initial release has no account, cloud sync, advertising, subscription, or in-app purchase. Health and activity history is stored on the phone you use. Please read this policy before first use.

1. Information handled on your phone

The App does not require an account or ask for your name, email address, identity document, or similar information. To provide features that you choose to use, the App processes the following information locally:

1. Profile and wellness records. Profile details you choose to enter, such as nickname, avatar, sex, date of birth, height, weight, and goals; and activity, step, sleep, heart-rate, HRV, blood-oxygen, temperature (where supported), workout, measurement, alert, and related time records generated or synced by the ring. These are used to display trends, calculate metrics, and manage the device.
2. Ring and Bluetooth information. The ring Bluetooth identifier, name, model, firmware version, battery level, connection state, and necessary local diagnostic information, for scanning, pairing, syncing, and troubleshooting.
3. Optional notification alerts. If you explicitly enable Android notification-listener access and select permitted source apps, the App handles the permitted apps’ package names/app labels locally to trigger a generic vibration on the ring. It does not read, store, or upload notification titles, bodies, images, IDs, or other notification content.
4. Optional call alerts. If you explicitly enable call alerts and grant phone-state permission, the App handles only a ringing/not-ringing state locally to trigger ring vibration. It does not read, store, or upload phone numbers, contacts, call content, or call history.
5. Optional emergency contact. If you explicitly select a contact through the system contact picker, the App may store that contact’s name and telephone number locally to open the system dialer or SMS composer after a further action by you. It does not dial, message, or send this information to us automatically.
6. Avatar and exported files you choose. A selected avatar is used for your local profile. When you export health records, the App prepares a CSV locally and Android’s system file picker saves it where you choose. The exported CSV excludes profile details and Bluetooth identifiers.
7. Support correspondence. If you write to caibingkun@ringrinx.cn, we process the contact details and issue description you include so that we can respond to your support request.

2. Local storage and encryption

Health records, profile, settings, sync state, and local ring references are stored in the App’s private phone storage. The database is encrypted and its key is protected through device secure-storage mechanisms. We do not upload those records for backup.

This release does not include advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics SDKs, third-party login, Google Fit, Apple Health/HealthKit, or cloud-sync features. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.

The App uses software components required for smart-ring communication, firmware update, Bluetooth, and local storage, including the device SDK supplied with the ring, RealSil DFU, ECG SDK, Nordic BLE, and local-storage components. They are called only for on-device communication, feature operation, or local saving. Before every production release, we review the final package and those components for permissions, network connections, and data flows. If that review changes how information is handled, we will update this policy and the applicable store disclosures before enabling that release.

Files you export, screenshots, information shared through the system, and information you give directly to another service are governed by the destination you choose and that third party’s rules.

3. Permissions

We request or direct you to enable permissions only when you choose the related feature. Denying an optional permission does not prevent you from viewing local content that does not need it, but the related feature will not work.

Permission or system access	Purpose
Nearby devices, Bluetooth scan and connect	Find, connect, sync, and manage the ring. On Android 11 and earlier, Bluetooth scanning may require location permission; the App does not use it to determine your location.
Notifications	Display connection, sync, foreground-service, and alerts you enable.
Notification-listener special access	Only after you opt in to notification forwarding, trigger content-free ring vibration for source apps you select.
Phone state	Only after you opt in to call alerts, detect ringing state; no phone number or call-history access.
Foreground service and wake lock	Maintain a necessary local Bluetooth task while you choose to keep the ring connected, sync, or receive alerts, with a system foreground notification.
System contact, photo, and file pickers	Only when you choose an emergency contact, avatar, or export destination through the system interface.

You may revoke normal permissions in your device’s app settings and notification-listener access in Android’s notification-access settings at any time.

4. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell, rent, or share your locally stored health and activity records, except when you choose to share, export, dial, or message through a system interface; when legally required or necessary to protect safety or address fraud/security; or in a permitted merger, reorganisation, or asset transfer with appropriate safeguards.

The App has no account or cloud-sync service. An email you send to support may be processed through the email provider’s infrastructure; do not include unnecessary sensitive health information in support email.

5. Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your phone until you delete them. In Settings > Data management, you can:

• choose Delete health history to remove health, sleep, workout, measurement, and alert records; or
• choose Unpair ring and delete all local data to remove health history, profile, settings, sync state, and the local ring reference.

The second option does not factory-reset the ring. Recent records retained by the ring may sync again if you pair it later. You may also clear App data or uninstall the App through Android settings. Manage any CSV files you previously exported separately; deleting App data does not delete copies saved elsewhere.

6. Security, children, and health notice

We use private application storage, an encrypted database, least-privilege permissions, and access controls to protect local data. No measure can guarantee absolute security; protect your phone with a device lock and use applicable lost-device controls if it is lost.

The App is not intended for independent use by children. Minors should use it with a parent or guardian’s consent and guidance. The ring and App provide general wellness and activity reference only. They are not medical devices and do not provide diagnosis, treatment, disease prevention, medical monitoring, or emergency services. Seek medical advice or local emergency assistance for symptoms or urgent concerns.

Because core data is held locally, you can directly access, export, correct, or delete it. For questions about this policy, support email, or rights available under applicable law, contact caibingkun@ringrinx.cn. We may verify your identity before responding.

7. Changes and contact

If features, information practices, or applicable law materially change, we will update this policy and notify you through the App, website, or another appropriate method. The effective date will be updated.
